Pre-Construction Manager (10900)

Our client:

We are working with one of the larger construction groups in the UK who are looking to add to their work winning team based in Birmingham.
This role is part of an ongoing planned expansion of their activities in the Midlands and beyond.
This company have a fantastic reputation as an employer, regularly winning significant industry awards and have a particularly strong track record within the Midlands.
They are keen to build on this reputation and while maintaining their presence in core markets are looking to develop new market opportunities.
Typical projects are generally valued to �80 Million in a wide variety of sectors.

Role:

You will be responsible for leading the bid process, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
You will have responsibility for managing and directing the Planning, Design, Estimating and wider work winning teams.
You will manage risk and continually question and seek opportunities to improve and differentiate your bid.
You will have a key role in deciding which opportunities to pursue in conjunction with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team.
Work closely with clients developing relationships and managing expectations.
Produce exciting and persuasive bids to clients� timeframes.
Manage sufficient resources and time.
Work collaboratively with the delivery teams.

Requirements:

You will have worked in a Pre-Construction/ Bid management role for a larger contractor in the UK previously.
You will need a strong technical understanding most likely gained working in operations, design, commercial roles or planning.
You will be IT literate.
Based in or able to commute to the West Midlands daily.
