An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of the most established and reputable food manufacturing companies in the UK for an Operations Controller who will manage all aspects of the Production, Improvements & Warehouse Operation to achieve the lowest cost operating base while meeting the quality and service delivery requirements.
It is a role that requires the leadership and motivation of staff at multiple levels to ensure effective delivery of the daily performance through the alignment of resources (people, plant and process) to meet defined KPIs and Operational targets.
He / she identifies continuous improvement and loss elimination opportunities and influences the implementation. The role encompasses budgetary responsibility and approximately 160 heads including Operators, Line Leaders and supporting functions.
The position has been established to drive value opportunities that span the ‘End to End’ business process in which they operate. The role holder will create operational and financial value through challenging the normal assumptions and forward thinking. It will deliver a consistency of performance (Operational and Financial) improvement as our great Brands translate through the phases of the organisation.
This role plays a major part for the operation in the delivery of ‘Best Today’ performance and ‘Best for the Future’ opportunities as the site progresses through its transformation. You will be required to convert sustainable results across the balanced agenda into the levers necessary to promote business confidence and provide the necessary base to encourage commercial support in portfolio decision making.

’ll be educated to degree/equivalent level and significant experience as an Operations Manager within a blue chip food manufacturing / FMCG company.
You’ll have experience in dealing with complex employee relations and an excellent track record in delivering change and transition management.
You’ll have a proven ability in utilising Continuous Improvement Techniques and budgetary control skills.
