CNC Machinist – Setter / Operator

Our client is a well established international engineering company based in the Salford area. They are looking to recruit a committed individual dedicated to producing high quality work and with the ability to work to strict deadlines with limited supervision.

Applicants need to be time served.

You will require experience in using the equipment described below.

Knowledge of Hurco, WinMAX or Mastercam is an advantage.

Below are duties the client would require the candidate to be able to perform:

*Use engineering drawings to machine components.
*Set and operate a Hurco VM1 4-axis VMC.
*Create NC programs using MasterCam or WinMAX (training can be provided)
*Operate a manual lathe, pillar drill, mitre saw, bench grinder and other hand tools.
*Maintain appropriate stock of material and machine tools for the required components.
*Assemble components into finished equipment.
*Be responsible for the cleaning and routine maintenance of the equipment.
*Maintain a clean working environment.
*Work to relevant health and safety regulations.
*Carry out other general engineering tasks.

Hours of work: 38.75 per week. Typically 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday – Some flexibility is required.
