Project Manager

Salary: £26,000 per year

Our client is looking to recruit a Project Manager to be based in either Manchester or Birmingham with flexibility to work from Home on occasions.

Responsible for Project Execution Team (Designers, and Project Supervisors, Sub Contractors) and the Delivery of Major Projects up to £10m in value both in the UK and Abroad on time and within budget
Be able to review monthly the Project Cost to Complete figures and maintain margins, highlight Risks (Margin Erosion) and Opportunities (Margin enhancement) and have a good all round Financial understanding
Experienced in dealing with Shared Services, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, HR etc
Provide support to the Contracts Manager and be comfortable dealing with Clients, Consultants, LPCB, Insurers, Sub Contractors and colleagues within the business
Liaison with Global design Teams as required
Be able to work in line with the Project Programme and allocated Design, Project Manager and Installation Man Hours
Knowledge of and experienced in working with Planners and associated Software is an advantage
Have experience in Change Management working with the Project QS
Have a full understanding of the Financial Aspects of the Project, Payment Terms/Invoicing etc and be able to Forecast such
Provide support to any Audit authority
Be able to work with Sales and Estimating areas to win work and Provide Feedback based on Operational Experience.
Be able to drive and visit sites/meetings as required both in the UK and Abroad
Provide support to Installation and Commissioning Teams as required.
Have a good awareness of Project Documentation including As Installed Drawings, Certification and Operating Manuals etc
Be able to run an experienced team of Designers, Supervisors and Installers and measure performance etc
Be able to follow Company QA Procedures
Review and maintain a high level of Productivity
Have experience of Fire Risk Assessments and Design Risk Assessments
Ba able to work with Company Quality Standards to ISO9001

At least 5 years experience of Project Management in the Fire Industry.

General knowledge of British and American Fire Standards preferred

AutoCAD Familiarity of Autocad preferred but not essential

The successful candidate will have;

Knowledge of Hydraulics Programmes Knowledge of Hydraulics Packages an advantage

Electrical Knowledge Electrical knowledge would be an advantage but is not critical

Computer Literacy Microsoft Office Package/Internet – Minimum

Health and Safety A good knowledge of EHS Standards and Procedures is required with evidence of relevant Training
CDM Knowledge of CDM an advantage – Training can be given
