Senior QA Analyst

Main purpose of role/Position Summary
As a Senior QA Analyst you are an integral part of the entire SDLC with key responsibility for determining the quality and usability of our software. You will be part of a cross functional development team working side by side with developers and stakeholders following an agile development methodology. Number of Engineering practices such as BDD, TDD, Pair Programming, Refactoring and Continuous Integration, and actively seeks to refine our work approach. The team is skilled and motivated and looking for similar individuals with the desire and drive to Engineering forward.

You will:

– Perform both test analysis and automation as part of the role.

– Be involved early in the project lifecycle, working with Developers, Analysts and Product Managers, to ensure requirements are understood and met, and actively participate in daily/iteration meetings.

– Manage the production of test plans, scripts and reports, as well as the execution of manual and automated testing.

– Be actively executing test scripts and responsible for defect reporting, replication, impact analysis and verification.

– Write automated test scripts using Specflow and C#.

– Be expected to provide metrics as to progress and software quality.

– Act as a mentor to more junior members of the team. You will lead reviews of test artefacts and results produced by team members. You will be responsible for reporting test activities/progress to the wider business.

– You may be required to allocate and monitor test activities for other team members in addition to your day to day role

Job Responsibilities:

– Contribute to the evolution of User Stories and Acceptance Test cases

– Taking responsibility in planning the testing of applications

– Execution of Manual & Automated Test Suites

– Perform Exploratory Testing

– Design, implement and review test scenarios and cases for manual and automated testing

– Perform impact analysis to identify areas of risk within products

– Peer review of detailed designs, code, documentation and test cases

– Building the test environment

– Documenting test plans and reports

– Participation in daily meetings and reporting progress

– Investigation and replication of issues

– Logging issues and defect tracking

– Continual contribution to improvements of the test process
