Salary: £42,000 – £51,600 per year

Reliability Centred Maintenance Engineer (RCM)Northamptonshire
c£35k-£43k negotiable dependent upon experience + benefits

Our client is a globally renowned household name in the FMCG manufacturing sector, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of ongoing strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and experience Reliability Centred Maintenance Engineer (RCM) to complement their established and professional team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of cost-effective asset care techniques to drive plant reliability across the business unit, working on a continuous improvement basis to improve the understanding of company products, processes and plant with a view to producing and sustaining consistently high standards, and via Small Group Activities, agreeing who, how and when these assets are maintained to proactively drive reliability and reduce waste.

You will tasked with developing maintenance techniques through research and failure analysis, whilst ensuring that all critical assets have appropriate preventive maintenance schedules in place, administrating all asset care via the Mainsaver CMMS system and proactively planning and scheduling maintenance tasks against resource, skills, parts, and windows of opportunity for between 1 week and 12 months in advance.

Additionally you will be responsible for reviewing and reporting plant performance to ensure maintenance KPI’s are achieved and exceeded and continuous improvement opportunities are maximised, championing suitable courses of action to continually improve plant reliability and leading a Small Group Activities team to restore assets to “as-new” condition whilst acting as Best Practice champion for Asset Care and/or Autonomous Maintenance.

To be considered for this varied and extremely challenging position, it is essential that applicants demonstrate previous engineering experience gained within the food manufacturing sector, and whilst the role is office based, you will be an excellent communicator at all levels capable of working autonomously and as part of a team, coordinating effort, measuring, analysing and reporting against performance and spending time out on the plant getting a real feel for how things are running. Demonstrating previous success in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement and lean methodologies, you will be an organised and meticulous individual capable of challenging and improving existing ways of working.
