Data Architect – UK Home Based

Salary: £80,400 – £98,400 per year

Data Architect required to join a dynamic UK based consultancy dealing with a range of exciting digital transformation projects and change programmes for medium to enterprise clients. 

Company is a small, dynamic but expanding consultancy with a supportive, collaborative and social environment that really looks after its staff (30 days starting holiday allowance!). 

Salary: £80,400 – £98,400 (including car allowance) depending on experience plus benefits including bonus, 30 days holidays, pension, healthcare.

Location: Work from Home, Remote based – you are required to be mobile as required for this position – this should not be more than a day or 2 a week and won’t be every week.

The position will involve the following type of work for different customers:

• Document As-Is Architectures & create definition of Target (Data) Architectures.
• Utilise UML, ArchiMate 3.0 modelling, or equivalent enterprise modelling techniques and notations.
• Identify/utilise data integration and system integration architecture patterns.
• Map technology (data and integration) into a radar.
• Create and present roadmaps & executive presentations to technical and operational audiences.
• Create data flow patterns and modelling – use modern and traditional Datamodelling techniques.
• Deliver data integration solutions & ETL with enterprise tools (Databricks, Ab Initio, Informatica etc), similar cloud technologies/services in AWS &/or Azure.
• Data integration & microservices architectures including best practices for enterprise systems/data architectures.
• Design enterprise data solutions incorporating modern cloud services (eg, Object Stores, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Fabric, such AWS/Azure Object Stores) etc.
• Event-driven architecture & data pipelines.
• Architecting automated lineage, linkage of data, meta data continuums and master data management practices, especially workflows of information systems.
• Engage with stakeholders using technical leadership and ownership.

Candidate requirements include:

• Circa.5 years’+ experience client side, supply side or with a consulting organisation.
• Strong experience of using, understanding and/or designing architecture systems and tasks as required in the above role description.
• Experience in or with IT Outsourcing ideal otherwise specialist knowledge in an IT Service or Technology Domain (Service Management, Networks, End User Computing, Data Centre, or Applications Management).
• Knowledge and experience of common industry frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF, Prince 2, MSP, Six Sigma).
• Can demonstrate the delivery of major change projects including high impact tangible outcomes.
• Strong problem solving capability, structured and methodical yet also pragmatic.
• Detail-focused with excellent written report and presentation skills
• Capability to build effective internal and client relationships.

• Comfortable working either at home, or away a couple of days per week
