Got a solid history of delivering steel frame industrial projects?

Our client is a main contractor working onsite in Exmouth, erecting a new steel framed warehouse.

Groundworks is at the start and we are looking for a site manager to immediately take control of the day-to-day running of the steel framed erection, cladding installation, block/ brickwork and fit-out stages of the project. Project sizes range from upwards from £5 million.

ROLE:

* Developing an in-depth knowledge of the drawings and specification to ensure works onsite compile with the clients requirements and specification.

* Liaising with office team to help them track variations, place orders for materials and line-up suppliers and sub-contractors as required.

* Attending meetings with contractors and suppliers

* Providing input in to the design, package scopes and programme of works.

* Day-to-day Management of site worker

* Day -to – day management of site sub-contractors

* Checking progress against programme and reporting back to the project team at head office.

* Attending client project review meetings where budget, design, progress and safety will be on the agenda.

* Quality management.

* Site safety i.e checking contractors RAMS, making recommendations and amendments, performing the site induction process, carrying out regular inspections to ensure correct protection measures are in place and ensure safe systems of work are being adhered to.

* Checking progress against programme and reporting back to the project team at head office.

* Attending client project review meetings where budget, design, progress and safety will be on the agenda.

* Recording daily site activities.

Qualifications required:

* CSCS Management Card, SMSTS and First Aid.

* Scaffold Inspection (preferred but not essential)

* Temporary Works Coordinator (preferred but not essential)

CANDIDATE:

* We are looking for someone with an in-depth experience working on steel framed industrial buildings

* Proven track record of holding a key position within a construction team taking projects from groundworks stage through to completion.

* Working knowledge of the steel frame construction process.

Skill set:

* Hands on experience working either within a civil engineering, main contractor or steel frame erection or building company is essential

* Good written and verbal interpersonal skills.

* Ability to lead and encourage others to work in the best interests of the Project, the organisation and their client.
