Sales Team Manager – LV Electrical

A global leader in power & automation are looking for a Field Sales Manager to lead a team of external Sales Engineers in their Low Voltage Electrical Systems business; servicing electrical wholesalers and M&E contractors in the north of England.

A multi-billion pound business employing over 150,000 people globally, the Low Voltage Products division manufactures panel boards, circuit breakers, switches, control products, wiring accessories, enclosures and cable systems to protect people, installations and electronic equipment from electrical overload.

As Sales Manager you will have responsibility for the region’s budget, ensuring the team are working towards this and advising on new strategic direction. The company currently gain a large proportion of their business from winning large projects (through contractors/consultants, panel builders and OEMs) but they also target the ‘counter sales’ business at the larger wholesalers so any exposure of managing a sales team in these markets would be hugely beneficial.

Reporting into the National Sales Manager you will be targeted on driving team performance to the agreed budget, conducting monthly reviews and conducting join/coaching visits with your team.

Sales Manager’s region: North of England from Stoke-on-Trent upwards including some of north Wales. The ideal location for the Sales Manager would be somewhere around the Manchester to Leeds area although anywhere ‘on patch’ would be acceptable.

The basic salary would be £54,000 – £60,000with a 25% bonus. The package would also include:

To be successful you must have extensive experience managing an external team of Sales Engineers.

Ideally, you will have a technical/engineering background in the electrical/electronic industries. This is not essential but can give credibility when speaking with clients.

Any exposure to wholesalers, OEMs and panel builders will be an advantage.
