Goods in Inspector

Salary: £26,000 per year

Salary dependent on shift and includes shift premium/allowance

You will have experience ideally within a manufacturing environment, warehouse based or similar. Quality inspection is required plus receipt/despatch/storage of items/components to timescales.

Responsibilities will include:

To perform Goods Inwards operations in accordance with the required company procedures.

Receipt of and unloading goods

Performing quantity checks on goods

Inspection of goods with reference to the required standard.

Measuremenet/dimensional checks of goods

Liaison with other colleagues including Quality and Purchasing Depts to raise discrepancies in quantity or quality of a product.

* Use of computerised systems including MS Office and SAP to enter goods into stock in accordance with delivery notes/ purchase orders.

* To ensure all goods are labelled with batch number, code, description and quantity prior to locating in storage areas.

* To ensure that goods are placed in the correct storage area promptly once booked into the computer system.

Dealing with returned goods

Accurate maintenance and updating of computer records/systems

Maintain tidy and safe warehouse environment at all times

Have knowledge of relevant HSEQ/Health and Safety regulations
