Landscaping Team Leader

Salary: £32,400 per year

We are recruiting for an experienced Soft Landscaping Team Leader in the Cobham area who will be leading and working alongside a small team of Soft Landscapers with responsibility for:

• Reading plans and setting out.
• Preparing the ground, levelling and then laying turf.
• Planting shrubs, trees, hedging, flower beds following design plans closely and ensuring that the ground is prepared and watered correctly ahead of planting.
• Bark mulching to enhance the completed planting schemes.
• Working with Site Managers, Agents & Customer Service Representatives so that they are aware of what you and your team are doing and asking for their feedback which you will report back into the company.
• Ensuring the team are wearing the company uniform, have and are using the correct PPE, that as a team you are well presented and clean.
• Alongside the team ensuring that all machinery and vehicles are used correctly and kept in excellent condition inside and out.
• Ensuring that all areas worked on are cleaned thoroughly before you all leave site.
• Ensuring a quality service to clients and workmanship at the highest standard.
• Before leaving any site, allowing yourself 15 minutes to complete a check on all works for the day and if any part is not acceptable ensuring that it is rectified before you all leave site.

To be considered for this role you are going to need:

• A minimum of 2 years soft landscaping experience.
• A minimum of 1 year at Team Leader level.
• Driving licence & transport to get to the yard daily.
• Ideally a related qualification.
• To be highly organised with a desire to progress in your career.

If you have any of the following that would be an advantage:

• CSCS card.
• PA1
• PA6
• Experience of using a tractor, 360 Digger, Dumper, Cat & Gen scanner will ensure starting salary is near the higher end.
