Inbound Operation Super

My client based on the outskirts of Huntingdon is looking for a Inbound Operations Supervisor to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract starting as soon as possible!

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Warehouse Manager and the companies Inbound receiving process, Taking responsibility for all Inbound inventory movement, Ensuring that the goods received turnaround times are in line with current SOPs and that Internal stocking up SLAs are met. To work as a key member of the Warehouse Management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· To coordinate and resolve the potential negative influences on our receiving process

· To work closely with other departments keeping communication channels at a high standard and be the key point of contact for any Warehouse Inbound queries

· To work closely with the Warehouse Management team and Inventory Controller ensuring that stock levels are managed and that any discrepancies are resolved and solutions put in place to avoid future occurrences

· To work closely with the Outbound Operations Supervisor ensuring that internal stock level SLAs are met

· To ensure that all targets and KPIs set by the Warehouse Manager are met and kept up to date

· To recommend measures to improve or adjust receiving methods

· To establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, effectively manage receiving department holidays and company bank holidays

· To act as the key contact for our transportation network regarding any Inbound shipments and to work closely with them to resolve any issues that might affect ETAs

· Attend weekly inventory meetings and have an input on the decision making process

· To directly lead and guide the receiving department ensuring the staff involved are strictly following the shipping departments SOP and codes of conduct

· Lead, motivate and performance manage the department team, ensuring that relevant training/development activities are undertaken

· Undertake other duties and tasks that from time to time may be allocated to the jobholder that are appropriate to the grade of the job

· Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection etc., and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook

What will be expected:

· Expected to make ongoing decisions to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations of all returns.

· When faced with problems or challenges, expected to consult with up line when necessary to support business goals.

· To reviewed on a daily bases on-going projects with up line, also to evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly.

· Expected to come up with creative solutions as problems and challenges arise, like how to increase production or to improve areas in efficacies.

· Will deal with general emails, face to face and telephone queries in accordance with agreed company guidelines and disseminate other decisions to the appropriate individual or department where situation is new or unclear. Most situations faced are standard but require some initiative, such as technical product enquiry.

Education/Qualifications/Training:

· GCSE in maths and English

Specific Experience:

Required

Previous Supervisory experience at a senior level is essential

Desired

· A good attention to detail and a willingness to learn

· Counter Balance and VNA certifications

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

· Team player. Communicates and works well within a team.

· Knowledge. A good understanding of the products and where to find them.

· Time scaling. Achieving targets such as the service level agreement within a certain period of time.
