MARKETING ASSISTANT / MARKETING MANAGER

My client are a retailer with approx. 60 stores located throughout the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Manager / Marketing Assistant to join their expanding Head Office team.

Job function

To provide support in ensuring the deliverance of the Marketing strategy.
To maintain consistency in all aspects of brand communication
To ensure timely deliverance of marketing strategy components

Key Responsibilities

*Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
*Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships
*Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press (local, regional, national and specialist publications) or on the radio (depending on the organisation needs)
*Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and DVDs
*Writing and proofreading copy
*Liaising with designers and printers
*Organising photo shoots
*Maintaining and updating customer databases
*Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
*Conducting market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups
*Contributing to and developing marketing plans and strategies
*Evaluating marketing campaigns
*Monitoring competitor activity
*Assistance and ensuring all ecommerce communication (including Facebook, Twitter etc) are maintained to a high and current industry standard.
*To assist in the execution o all new store openings or store refurbishments
*Management of the marketing activity calendar inclusive of store communications

Knowledge and Skills

*Effective written and verbal communication skills.
*Analytical skills and able to think creatively.
*Managerial experience, retail experience advantageous.
*Use of word processing, emails, and spreadsheet software.
*Independent, reliable and hard working individual.
*Must be willing to travel and be able to cope with tight deadlines and dynamic business environment.
*Certificate in Chartered Institute of Marketing CIM certificate.
