A leading multi disciplinary Engineering practise is urgently seeking a Senior Civils Infrastructure Technician who has exceptional AutoCAD Civil 3D skills with several years of experience with the software. The need to be able to create 3D surfaces (Existing and Proposed), create road corridors and alignments, create and co-ordinate below ground drainage and services (Existing and Proposed) in 3D, create Civil 3D template, set up parts lists, create layers, train staff to use Civil 3D, automate drawing creation, know how to use drawing manager / creator. You need to know how to use and create data shortcuts, know how to use an implement BS1192. You must have cut and fill knowledge as well as surface level strategies.

Primary Objectives
The ability to produce quality drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D & CAD software’s in accordance with company standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordination of all 3d drawings
Document control of all information received from external sources ensuring the latest information is always easily found.
Integrate quality assurance procedures, Healthy & Safety (CDM) and company standards.
Liaise with other members of the design team to coordinate a design package.
Liaise with statutory authority’s to coordinate a design package for their respective approvals.
Assist in maintaining BIM and CAD standards for Site Civils.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient with AutoCAD Civils 3D and AutoCAD software
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Basic understanding of below ground drainage, attenuation, flow control, SuDS features and pollution control.
Basic understanding of building elementsm structure, foundation options and external works.
Basic understanding of the construction design team, tender and construction process.
Experience in obtaining technical approval under
Section 38 and 278 of the Highways Act.
Section 106 connection, 104 Adoption and 185 Diversion of the Water Industry Act.
Application of the following guides:
British Standards and Euro Codes
Approved Documents H and M
Sewers for adoption
Interpretation of the following:
topographical surveys
underground utility surveys
Site and building floor plans.
BIM
Understanding of BIM and providing input into BIM execution plans and protocols.
Basic knowledge of AutoDesk Navisworks.
Knowledge of BIM levels 1 and 2 and the required compliance.
Excellent time keeping, presentation, organization and communication skills.
Having a polite manner, the ability to be well-spoken.
