Dedicate Recruitment is seeking a Senior Network Technician for a forward-thinking comprehensive school in Middlesex. The school has undergone a transformational change with significant improvement in progress outcomes and examination results.
The Senior Network Technician is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the school IT infrastructure and lead the day-to-day running of the IT support service. This is a critical appointment to ensure that the ICT strategy is aligned with the schools’ objectives, enabling its vision of leading technology in education. While supporting the strategic direction of the school, the postholder will also adhere to correct policies, procedures, and regulatory framework.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, the role will line manage an ICT Technician and be accountable for the delivery and quality of the school’s IT support service. The successful candidate will bring extensive prior experience of network and server configurations, software updates together with overseeing and leading responses to complex IT incidents and service requests. You will also have led on the introduction of strategic projects such as SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, and SIMs.
With excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a recognised IT qualification and evidence of IT management within a school or education setting, providing solutions to IT issues effectively and professionally.
This is an on-site, full time, all year through post. The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one.
