Our client offers a range of specialist waste management and recycling services to both the public and private sectors. A vacancy currently exists for an experienced Environmental and Quality Manager. Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and proactive approach to environmental and quality management within the business.

Working as part of a small team, with sites across the south west, this is a great opportunity to join an organisation which is committed to driving forward environmental compliance and quality performance.

Responsibilities will include:

* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements

* Working closely with the management team to develop and implement environment policies and procedures, in line with the evolving needs of the business

* Engaging at all levels across the organisation to embed E&Q best practice

* Maintaining the company’s external environmental and quality management certifications

* Conducting regular audits, compiling reports and communicating performance across the company

* Acting as the key environmental point of contact for a range of stakeholders, including regulators and customers

* Leading on programmes of work relating to E&Q

Qualifications and experience:

* Experience in a similar environment and quality management role

* A proven track record of improving performance

* Experience within the recycling and waste management industry

* Qualified to degree level in environmental science, planning, sustainable development or a related discipline

* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) is desirable
