Salary: £33,600 – £40,800 per year

TITLE: Technical Chemist – Hazardous Waste Assessor

SALARY: £33,600 – £40,800 DOE plus Car Allowance & Benefits

LOCATION: Home based with National travel role – ideally for good motorway access you will be roughly along or within the box of the M62, M6, M4 & M1

PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Technical Assessor, Technical Support Chemist, Site Chemist, Hazpak Chemist

ROLE: Technical Chemist – Hazardous Waste Assessor

You will be required to visit clients’ site nationally and provide technical support to Contract Managers and Business Development Managers.

You will use your knowledge of Hazardous Waste and chemistry to assess incoming waste streams based on information provided by the sales team, ensure they are classified correctly and identify correct cost and route of disposal

You may be required to take samples, package waste etc. 

EXPERIENCE: Technical Chemist – Hazardous Waste Assessor

Experience working with hazardous waste is essential, ideally working as a Technical Assessor or as a Hazardous Waste Site Chemist with some assessing looking for a new challenge

You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.

YOU WILL HAVE Degree in Chemistry. Related Subjects e.g. Biochemistry

Other non-essential qualifications that would be advantageous:

WAMITAB COTC

IOSH of NEBOSH safety qualification or similar

YOU MUST HAVE A UK DRIVING LICENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
