Technical Support Specialist
Based in Leicestershire
The Client:
A global leader in additive and surface modification technologies, enhancing consumer, textile, industrial, and medical products across the globe.
The Role:
The Technical Assistant will support the European and International Technical efforts with tasks including, but not limited to, laboratory liaison, sample preparation, results communication and review; project management within Salesforce; and supporting the Senior Technical Manager and commercial team for partner and prospect project activities.
The Role:
* Laboratory liaison, Sample preparation and Result reporting.
* Discussion & interaction with International laboratory.
* Test method selection.
* Sample administration, preparation and logistics.
* Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Result reporting: Analysis of results and discussing and reporting to sales team.
* Project management within Salesforce: PAQ inputs and management (test reporting / project management)
* Technical Support: supporting International technical team for Microbiology related questions.
* Supporting International Technical Manager for daily tasks and cover when out of the business.
* Marketing Support: Results presentation, efficacy validation and claims review.
Sales Support – Meeting support for Microbiology, efficacy testing, results presentation.
* Internal training on test methodologies / results interpretation.
The Profile:
* Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology (Polymer Science will also be considered)
* 3 to 5 years work experience within a laboratory, technical service, R&D, Quality or related field.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and ability to write reports
* Excellent communication skills – able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Good mathematical skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations; ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Salesforce (or prior experience with other Customer Relationship Management system).
