Commercial Accountant

We are recruiting for a unique and very successful construction business in East Yorkshire. A recent growth phase of one of their leading divisions brings an opportunity for an astute Commercially driven Accountant/Analyst to work closely with the Commercial team.

This Commercial Accountant/Analyst will be focused on providing relevant commercial, cost analysis and insight of short and long term projects. You will be responsible for reporting on overspend and any variances to contracts/projects, be capable of reading contracts as they come in for each project, and liaising with clients commercial teams on progress payments and amendments to contract over time. You will manage subcontract costs and weekly cash flow for each project keeping the Commercial Manager updated with progress.

The successful candidate will be highly commercially astute. A commercial background would be advantageous, however we are looking for an individual that is ambitious, a clear communicator and willing to learn.

Although an accounting qualification will be highly regarded, experience in Construction or manufacturing in a Commercial/ Project/Cost Accounting role is essential.
