Hardware Design Engineer

Salary: £45,600 – £48,000 per year

Engineering is at the heart of our business and plays a key part in the development of our products that operate in the energy control and automation market and are designed to provide energy throughout a wide range of forms such as generator sets, renewable, microgrid as well as off-highway machinery.

In this role, based at our Mansfield site, you will work within the Hardware team to resolve issues with component shortages in the short term and on cost saving and improved production process activities in the future. You will be working with suppliers to identify components, technologies and manufactures to be used in new designs and will review designs to ensure optimization of component availability against future supply chains. You will also identify and contribute to the design of cost saving opportunities in new and existing products.

• Are you experienced in hardware design with a general knowledge of embedded industrial controller design?
• Do you understand eCAD design tools, electrical theory and EMC principles?
• Do you have a good knowledge and experience with a wide variety of serial communication systems?
• Do you have good knowledge and experience with a wide variety of serial control systems.
• Do you have a BEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent?
