Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £54,000 per year

We are currently recruiting for a Controls Engineer for a leading equipment and systems manufacturers based in West Yorkshire. The Electrical Design Engineer who specialises within Siemens PLC Controls will be part of a small electrical team and be involved with a variety of electronic / electrical technical projects and applications, through to the commissioning and aftermarket support.

• Design and Specification for Electrical Controls
• PLC system design and Programming for Control Systems
• Work with customers on specifications & design
• Work with the sales team on technical support & pre-sales design and information
• The ability to work with customers face to face and remotely.

Essential Skills:

• Siemens S7 or TIA Portal
• PLC Programming – Ladder, High Level Programming such as SCL
• WinCC and HMI Designs
• Functional Safety and Safety Programming

Additional Skills:

• CAD Experience either AutoCad, Eplan, Solidworks
• Knowledge of Electrical controls legislation
• Rockwell PLC platforms
• Microsoft 356 (Office Tools)
• Documentation
• A flexible approach to working with a can do attitude.
