Your Profile:

As the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining product assurance within the defined company processes and procedures, primarily working for the module ensuring 100% compliance. You must have experience within a manufacturing environment, this is a must. You will have working knowledge of business procedures and an engineering qualification or equivalent. You’ll need to have solid problem-solving skills, diagnostic and analytical skills through demonstratable application of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing tools. You’ll also possess strong leadership skills, be able to work with indirect team and remote team members, and able to facilitate the team.

The Role:

As the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer you will maintain and improve the assurance within the module through pro-active auditing of products and processes, ensuring compliance is there and if not raising findings; then raise opportunities for improvements. You will be the key contact representing quality for any queries, including key interface for customer quality matters and regulatory visits.

As well as the above you will also be responsible for/have knowledge in:

* Visit Supplier plants on a routine basis

* Ensure any corrective actions are implemented

* Arrange sorting of stock for Quality flow outs

* Monitor customer / Supplier returns in line with procedures

* Investigate company/suppliers problems related to Quality

* Use standard problem solving techniques for root cause analysis

* Identify process capability on key manufacturing characteristics and develop & maintain Parts Evaluation Spec Sheet plan to customer requirements

* Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency or improve greater achievement of the business targets.

* Characterise non-conformances and ensure timely management through the existing process.

* Drive corrective action closure following product process audit findings, validate via flash audits.

* Lead FAIR creation and approval processes for the module produced assemblies.

* Lead the quality investigations within the module through in-house processes, driving clear root cause analysis to achieve a sustainable outcome and overall improvement.

* Own and drive non-conforming material by managing traceability and containment activities, leading to scrap, rework, concession or supplier return, aligned to business targets.

* Authorise the release of product.

* Ensure customer requirements are incorporated in readiness for the release of customer POs.

* Train and mentor anyone on quality topics affecting the module as required.
