Financial Accountant

Salary: £72 per hour

Financial Accountant (EMEA) £60000 Hemel Hempstead

Hybrid Working 50% in Hemel and 50% Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to and supporting the Financial Controller for EMEA
• Contributing to month end closing and reporting
• Contributing to the improvement of our new Oracle NetSuite ERP system
• Providing financial support and insight for business activities and supporting other departments with new projects
• Taking ownership for financial reporting and accounting policy updates, including but not limited to production of annual statutory accounts and collaborating with external auditors
• Leading the internal audit of subsidiaries and providing insights to business process improvements
• Involved in tax compliance, including but not limited to preparing monthly VAT returns in the UK and the Netherlands, providing analysis for corporation tax computations, considering transfer pricing implications, PAYE settlements and Country by Country reporting
• Supporting compliance for banking Companies House submissions and ONS reporting

Key Skills & Experience:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with post qualification experience
• ideal candidate will have qualified in a top 10 audit practise with 2yrs pq in commercial at least
• Have a solid knowledge and understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Strong Excel and analytical skills are paramount
• Excellent communication skills being able to explain accounting concepts and procedures to the wider business
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of the team

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar FMCG multi-national industry trading across EMEA is preferred
• Experience of Oracle NetSuite ERP would be beneficial
