Trainee – Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a successful contractor established for nearly 30 years that operate throughout the UK. They have become a recognised provider of high quality interior fit-outs, refurbishment and alterations and work with clients within the leisure, commercial and retail sectors.

They are now seeking to recruit a Trainee – Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Surrey. You will need two years experience working within a contracting environment and either be on day-release or degree qualified. Working within one of their commercial teams you will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor on projects ranging in value upto £5m. Duties will include carrying out site visits, site measures, meeting sub-contractors, compiling record documentation and various other administration duties as required. This position is permanent and offers the successful person the opportunity to complete a structured training programme where you will be working within a successful commercial team on various projects throughout London and the Home Counties areas. These projects have values ranging from £50k to £5m and you will form part of a dedicated team ensuring the projects are delivered smoothly, to budget and programme. Support for day release is offered if required.

You will:-
• Be on day release or have completed a relevant Quantity Surveying Degree.
• Have two years experience working within a contractor
• Have first class communication skills both written and verbal
• Be highly enthusiastic with strong determination to succeed
• Hold a full UK Drivers licence
• Be IT Literate
• Reside within the Surrey, Kent or South London areas
