Project Analyst / Business Analyst – Transportation

Salary: £564 per day

This role offers an experienced Business Analyst the opportunity to join a dynamic team of consultants to work on high profile transportation infrastructure projects.

Our client is a growing, award winning, consultancy business who specialise in transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. The role is not located in a single location but will ideally suit people based in either London or Edinburgh.

The Company:

The directors are well respected specialist consultants within their field who, due to the completion of successful projects, are expanding to meet the growing demand for their services.

The Position:

They are looking for a Business Analyst who has at least 5 years experience working on transportation planning or transportation infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with Project Managers, although you will possess the skills, experience and confidence to work on your own initiative, to assist clients in solving complex challenges. You will have strong analytical skills, project management and interpersonal personal skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

You will be required to apply your skills and experience to work on projects predominantly at the design stage to develop proof of concept, designing bottom-up solutions for clients, develop supporting documentation and have the necessary skills and experience to assist in Project Management activities.

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in relevant discipline (Civil Engineering or Management) and preferably a member of a recognised professional body

* 3 – 5 years post graduate experience as a BA or PM working on Transportation Planning or Transportation Infrastructure Projects.

* Demonstrable ability to work with delivery teams, customers, regulatory bodies and other major stakeholders

* Background in Geography/Transport Planning or Project Management

* Demonstrable expertise in the development, use and application of programme management tools in delivering major projects would be advantageous but not essential

* Talented in analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

* Adept in building relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work flexibly

* A proven ability to communicate complex proposals in an understandable manner for various audiences, both verbally and in writing

* Demonstrable ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

The Location:

The role can be performed from home but will require you to work from time to time in our client’s prestigious office in Edinburgh as well as their client’s project offices throughout the UK.
