Frameworks Operations Manager

Salary: £54,000 per year

This challenging and exciting opportunity, based in either Yorkshire or the North East, requires a highly qualified electrical professional possessing a strong technical background and demonstrable experience in operating as an Operations Manager from within any area of the HV power sector, and this can be from having worked for a client side DNO or a contractor.

Due to an increase in contract awards, a significant forward order workload, and a dedication to continued profitable long-term growth, our client is now seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager for their power division.

You will be a senior operational lead, holding responsibility for the delivery of projects and frameworks in your respective workstream, ultimately contributing to business plan goals. You will provide workstream-specific knowledge and expertise to the operations leadership team and the wider business to ensure that future work opportunities are achieved, risks are identified and mitigated, and operational excellence and optimized workstream delivery efficiencies are accomplished.

The Role, Responsibilities & Requirements

* Achieve industry-leading workstream delivery to time, cost, budget, quality, safety and customer service standards, utilizing technical and industrial resources allocated by the Engineering and Resource Managers and contractor service providers

* Deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of projects and frameworks in your respective workstream, therefore, ensuring the team manage and pro-actively mitigate risks to contractual performance, and delivery through effective project, contract and commercial management

* Drive achievement of all operational, external stakeholder and customer service standards, working in collaboration across all workstream areas where needed

* Drive proactive management and improvement plans when standards or customer satisfaction is not achieved

* Set and implement effective control measures to ensure projects and frameworks are delivered to time, cost and quality parameters

* Routinely assess the projects and frameworks to identify risks and interdependencies, re-setting priorities as needed

* Actively engage with colleagues deployed, and provide evidence-based structured feedback to Project Managers and Project Coordinators on their performance and impact on the projects or frameworks they deliver

* Lead and monitor financial, operational and commercial performance

* Deliver workstream volumes in line with fall plan targets

* Ensure clear evidence of effective and frequent performance reviews and executable development plans, utilising project or framework performance

* Conduct talent profiles of all colleagues and highlight those with growth potential

* Achieve and exceed safety (including internal audit programmes), operational and commercial KPI’s

* Ensure productivity and safety targets are delivered
