Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of Ultraviolet disinfection technology for a wide variety of fluid applications. Products range from standard to custom engineered solutions involving chemical, light science, electrical and mechanical engineering.

To meet ongoing growth, they are looking for a New Product Development Manager to manage product development activities out of their UK site in Slough. Reporting to the Technical Director, the New Product Development Manager will be responsible for the optimisation and development of competitive product solutions, features and applications.

What you’ll be doing:

* Maintain, develop, and disseminate understanding of UV technology and related sciences, aligned with company strategy and values.

* Translate NPD, customer specifications, and international standards into world class design solutions.

* IP management

* Agree the scope and specification of NPD projects and work packages with all stakeholders.

* On-time delivery of NPD projects with full accountability

* Liaise closely with the technical management team on technical policy & resource deployment.

* Manage CFD process & development to scope performance and verify range.

* Support existing products and develop new systems and control strategies & solutions.

* Manage and develop the team and the technical processes & tools.

* Closely engage with the Product Manager to ensure new products meet market and business needs/requirements.

Experience you’ll need:

* Degree qualified in an engineering background preferably in electrical engineering.

* 5 years + working experience in industry preferably within capital equipment.

* Proven record in product engineering, product development and/or product design.

* Experience with industrial products for NEMA 4X / IP 65 environments using transformers / ballasts would be ideal.

* Management experience of internal and external resources.

* The mindset and capability to deliver transformational change.

* Drive and motivation to realise the full potential of the business.

* Strong technical and communication skills, with proven experience of timely product launching.
