Assistant Accountant

A recently established Construction organisation are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their highly skilled team as they continue to grow. This is a unique opportunity to join a business in a role that will develop and grow as the business continues to expand.

You will be responsible for all aspects of accounting up to Trial Balance and have a strong knowledge of double entry Bookkeeping. Previous experience in the Construction sector is advantageous specifically the use of Sage Construction.

Key Competencies:

• Generating sales invoices and credit notes
• Credit control
• Generating purchase orders
• Matching, coding and processing of suppliers and sub-contractor’s invoices
• Reconciliation of supplier’s and sub-contractor’s accounts
• Liaising with suppliers
• CIS Monthly returns
• VAT Returns
• Bank reconciliation
• Maintenance of Petty Cash records
• Monthly payroll

You will be part-qualified – CIMA / ACCA / ACA or QBE – qualified by experience with proven Bookkeeping experience and strong communications skills. Experience of Sage 50 Accounts, Sage Payroll and Sage Construction is essential as you will need to hit the ground running using these systems.
