Type of Employment: Permanent – 37 hours per week

Our client is a large scale social enterprise which has learning, skills, development and transitional services at the heart of its mission. They deliver a comprehensive package of services for learners in custody and the community enabling progression into education, training and employment.
They are proud to deliver learning and skills in over 60 sites within Her Majesty’s Prisons, private sector prisons, Approved Premises and the community. Working closely with stakeholders, they aim to provide locally determined, high quality provision which meets the needs and interests of learners.
Having recently been awarded the new Young Offenders Institution contract at HMYOI Wetherby, they are currently seeking to appoint an Engagement and Resettlement Manager for the establishment.
Reporting to the Head of Inclusion, the purpose of this role (not limited to) is as follows:
To effectively manage the engagement and resettlement, inclusion and support services as directed by the Head of Inclusion, ensuring appropriate and timely assessment of learners.
To ensure PLSPs (Personalised Learning and Skills Plan) are in place and maintained and learners receive relevant and easily understood information regarding learning and skills provision and continuing support.
To ensure via positive and collaborative working relationships with all business partners a multi-disciplinary approach that seeks to facilitate a smooth transition through education to the resettlement of the learner into education, training or employment.
As a successful candidate you will have:
A level 6 information, advice and guidance qualification
A level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Relevant experience of conducting initial assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups
Experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities and presenting challenging behaviour
Experience of successful working in an effective multi-disciplinary team
A track record of effectively managing a high performing team (desirable)
