2nd Line Support (Web Hosting, Linux)

We are seeking a 2nd Line Support Analyst with knowledge of Linux operating systems, web software and hosting tools such as cPanel and WHM to provide first class technical support and troubleshooting for a respected and growing web hosted solutions provider based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

Within the role you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with customers hosted web environments. This will include Linux based operating systems, computer and server hardware issues, web technologies such as Apache, PHP and MySQL and hosting tools such as cPanel and WHM.

Skills required for 2nd Line Support Analyst:

• Good knowledge of Linux based operating systems, preferably with exposure to distributions/flavours such as Ubuntu or Redhat
• Excellent communication skills with experience providing customer facing technical support via ticketing systems and telephone
• Experience working with web hosting solutions such as cPanel or WHM
• Exposure to web technologies such as Apache, MySQL and PHP
• Understanding of HTTP, DNS and Internet Communications

2nd Line Support (Web Hosting, Linux) The role will require participation in an on call rota.

Salary: £24-30k + benefits

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Commutable from Luton, St Albans, Watford, Harrow, Slough, Aylesbury or Milton Keynes.
