Accountant – About The Role

This growing innovative organisation based in central Guildford are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. You will be joining a company that has experienced fantastic growth over the last few years and will be looking for someone who can grow within the organisation. Furthermore, this role will be offered on a hybrid working scheme and provides a fantastic working culture. This is a great role for a progressive individual who will end up having full control of the finance function.

Accountant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Directors of the business and will be support the Finance Director. You will be providing regular updates to the Directors as well as liaising with other departments.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Assisting with daily updates to rolling cashflow and company forecast spreadsheets.
• Assisting with monthly management accounts with necessary commentary & analysis.
• Assisting in monthly balance sheet reports and reconciliations.
• Processing all monthly supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
• Running the monthly payroll
• Ensuring that all tax returns for PAYE, P11d, VAT and corporation taxes are filed on time and payments are made.

The successful Accountant will have

• Previous experience in a similar position
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks is desirable
• Experience working within an SME environment
• Strong IT skills
