This new Group Technical Sales Manager position will head up the group and play a critical role in enabling the company to bring IoT and data driven digital solutions to the SME manufacturing and engineering market.
This is very much an outcomes based role where you would be developing and implementing technology solutions primarily into the North West manufacturing and engineering sector by utilising the various divisions within the organisation to best advantage for local businesses.
As the Group Technical Sales Manager, you would be empowered to make decisions and effectively manage and build on key accounts and develop new business opportunities.
This gives the right person the freedom to really put their own stamp on the role and make use of all the interlinking business opportunities that may we present themselves when asking the right questions in the right circles at the right time.
Your ability to build rapport at director/business owner level and genuinely understand the sector is business critical. Our client wants the best possible solutions for the businesses that utilise their programs and facilities and it would be a large part of your job to deliver best outcomes for all involved.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
* Develop manufacturing and engineering client base across Lancashire and Greater Manchester
* Direct responsibility for sales planning, short, medium and long term
* The Account Management and development of customer success plans
* Lead and support recruitment and client management on grant funded programmes
* Manage key accounts to develop and grow profitable revenue
* Meet and exceeds sales, profit, and client development performance targets
* Responsible for providing business and technical expertise to qualify opportunities and position advanced digital offerings to decision makes
* Develop an effective and results orientated working relationship with internal stakeholders
* Work closely with the Marketing and Comms team to execute business development strategy
* Look at overall service offerings across the group to create profitable vertical opportunities
* Deliver gold standard customer support and customer outcomes
We are looking for:
* Solution sales experience specifically within manufacturing, engineering or technology
* Background in technology sales, data analytics, IT or other technology solutions sales
* Excellent commercial acumen, communication and negotiation skills
* Experience of selling to director level and owner managed businesses
* Track record of establishing and building key account relationships
* Motivated to deliver, with an innovative approach
* The ability to connect innovative solutions to customer needs and articulate the value in complex and often bespoke solutions
* Capability to manage, influence and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling performance
* Relationship builder with resilience and a positive approach
* The ability to find ways of solving/pre-empting problems
In return for your efforts, you can expect:
* Circa £45,600 – £50,400 salary
* 10% Bonus
