Sales Manager (Contract Cleaning)

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Based from Edinburgh or anywhere in the UK

The Company

Our client is a hugely successful independent commercial cleaning business. Established for over 30 years they provide their clients throughout the UK with a highly polished, professional, efficient and competitive service. Their staff are passionate about what they do and demonstrate this in the service they provide. Clients cover areas including office, retail, industrial, education, Government, hospitality and leisure. Due to expansion they are looking for a Sales Manager to manage an existing sales team of 5 field based Business Development Managers with plans to grow this team to 14.

The Role

You will be responsible for the management of an established team of office and field based BDMs selling contract cleaning solutions to business customers throughout the UK. This will involve the delivery of sales management, motivation, training and coaching to ensure all pre-set targets are exceeded. Leading from the front you will be responsible for

* Managing KPIs and targets for sales staff.

* Motivating and developing staff in all areas of the sales process.

* Initial and on-going training, one to one coaching and development of sales staff

* Management of sales pipeline

* Monitoring sales trends and performance on a daily basis, preparing daily and weekly reports.

* Building strong relationships with top spending clients.

* Recognizing, identifying and developing business opportunities

* Achieving success

* Driving the team on a daily basis to meet and exceed targets

* Generating creative new ideas for business

The Candidate

Ideally to apply you will require a demonstrable track record of Sales Management from a contract cleaning or similar sector. You will be a natural leader, with the creativity, drive, motivation and passion to continue this organisation’s success.

You will have

* A proven track record in sales maximisation.

* Previous experience of working as a Sales Manager

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.

* Previous experience in dealing with team performance and development.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* An ability to lead a sales team.

* A background in the sales of contract cleaning services or similar.
