Health and Safety Advisor – North East

A Health & Safety Advisor is required to support the North East Region out of the Newcastle office.

Salary:
£32,000 – £35,000 basic + Car + Bonus + Pension + Healthcare

Location:
Newcastle then surrounding 50mile Region for site visits

Role Description
Your role will see you offering your specialist Health & Safety knowledge to advise Site staff and sub contractors on daily site practices. This is not a static site based position as you will be looking after multiple sites between 5 – 8 at any one time. It’s more of a Safety auditor role ensuring the sites are following the Health and Safety policies and advising them accordingly.

You must ensure that all health and safety practices are being adhered to and pre-empting potential issues with the projects. As the project is a construction based role experience from within this sector is key so previous experience could be in:-

* Construction New builds – Industrial, Commercial
* Housing / Affordable Housing
* Civil Engineering on New build developments

This is working for a main contractor one of the top 20 with a turn over in excess of 1 billion in the UK, although you will be just based in the North East Region.

Required Experience
NEBOSH is a minimum requirement supported with experience in a full time Health and Safety role taking ownership for a site or multiple sites.
