Employment Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Advisor based in Aylesbury to join a public service provider, serving thousands of people across three continents – Europe, Australasia and Asia. The company’s core mission is to improve people’s lives. They work in partnership with governments, public sector organisations, private sector companies, voluntary and community groups to deliver a range of front line public services, including employment and welfare, training, education and money and legal advice.

As an Employment Advisor your duties will include:

• Making and building relationships is key to the role.
• Regular targeted sales calls and visits with employers.
• You will need to be driven and really sell the company to be successful.

An ideal Employment Advisor will hold the following skills and experiences:

• It is essential that you have previous experience gained from a sales, business development or recruitment background and a proven track record of working to targets.
• Able to demonstrate excellent rapport building and communication skills, with the ability to adapt own approach to suit a diverse range of people.
• Must have experience of influencing others effectively and able to overcome objections positively, whilst remaining engaging and approachable.
• Proven experience of dealing with a diverse range of people.
• Proven ability to manage and diffuse difficult situations.
• Understanding the importance of confidentiality with the ability to develop trusting relationships through dependability and honesty.
• Experience gained from an Information, Advice and Guidance background and or qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
• An extremely conscientious and well organised approach to work load.
• Experience of working under own initiative and the ability to plan effectively in order to pre-empt potential issues and counteract effectively.
• Experience of successfully managing a fluid customer caseload and ongoing employer relationships in order to achieve targets.
• Driven to succeed and set high personal standards and goals.
• A passion to motivate and lead by example.
• Ability to sell the benefits and overcome barriers to employment with both the customer and the employer.
• Able to demonstrate the drive and tenacity to succeed and the ability to achieve and exceed demanding targets.
• Understands how personal contribution affects the wider business mission of Improving People’s Lives.
• Confident in all areas of numeracy, literacy and IT skills as required for the role.

You will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check or Disclosure Scotland check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.

In return you will receive a Salary: £26,000 – £26,400per year plus 25 Day holiday and free parking.
