Production Manager – Structural Steel

Our client are a medium sized engineering firm who are looking to recruit a fabrication production manager.

The business is rapidly growing and the candidate must come from a structural steel background.

You will involved in the overall running and management of the 25,000 sq ft facility. You will be charged with maximising the facilities output meeting quality, cost and customer service requirement.

Candidates will need experience of liaising with suppliers ensuring raw materials are met for production needs.

You all must be able to some working knowledge of the following as well:
– Cnc machinery IE: lasers, punches and presses.
– Knowledge of either plasma profiling or robotics
– Experience in the structural steel industry
– The ability to plan work loads
– Estimating cycle times
– Managing staff including training, recruitment and workloads.

This role is with a developing company who have long term contracts and long term goals in growing sectors as well already existing ones. The site aims to grow to a £10 million t/o, processing up to 10,000 ton of steel per annum.
