Salary: £68,400 – £74,400 per year
C&I Engineer – Power Station – London
£57,000 – £62,000 – 20% Bonus, Healthcare, Pension and Life Assurance
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Control & Instrument Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring that all C&I Engineering systems are maintained and made available for the successful operation of the state of the art £350m EfW plant.
The Control & Instrument Engineer will work alongside the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as part of the Engineering Team.
You will be required to direct a team of C&I Maintenance Technicians for day to day maintenance activities and lead from the front when required for in depth defect rectification. Other duties will include planning shutdowns, advising on ways to increase plant performance, engineering and managing capital projects.
To be considered you should have gained experience at Engineer level and have Steam Generating experience and be fully up to speed with Control Systems associated with Boiler Technology, Steam Turbines, Flue Gas Treatment, Water Treatment, Heat Exchangers, PLCs, DCS and CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System), etc and be qualified to HNC/ HND level (or equivalent) in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
Experience gained on site in the Waste to Energy, Power Station, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Marine industries would be very beneficial. Computer literate with CMMS experience and a can-do attitude are essential.
