Location: South Coast

Salary: circa £84,000 – £108,000 per annum plus car allowance plus benefits

Progressive permanent opportunity for expanding international engineering company

Education: Qualified to a minimum Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering
Secondary Managerial qualification a distinct advantage
A Working practitioner of Lean Six sigma, probably gained qualifications & certification from a renowned trainer
In depth knowledge of Quality & H&S Systems AS9001 TS 16949 ISO9001 Quality Standards.

Experience: A Long history of success gained through your training within blue chip leading manufacturing organizations having a first-hand knowledge of all Operational disciplines
* Minimum of ten (10) years minimum experience in Production and operations within a metal cutting and forming environment.
*Financially literate with a long history of running profitable manufacturing businesses
*A Technical understanding of metal cutting with a full knowledge of Multi Axis CNC Machines
*Technical understanding of casting and pressure equipment and testing of complex exotic steels

The position has a very high level of autonomy; and reporting into the Managing Director this is hands on opportunity that will be instrumental in taking the Manufacturing Engineering function to the next level. The Operations Site Director will have full P&L responsibility and will be a key member of the Management Team and will provide Leadership, Direction, support and vision for the stand-alone £30 Million manufacturing site.

The Operations Site Director will have a deep understanding of batch manufacturing and supply chain logistics within the Oil and gas, process flow industries having the balance of action orientated urgency to get things done coupled with a strategic long-term view of where the business needs to be. The Site Leader will lead the team through personal involvement while providing business strategy and acumen, tactical advice and mentoring, all ensuring success. You will be responsible for achieving the company’s customer commitments ensuring products are manufactured to the correct specifications, cost effectively, delivered on time, meeting and exceeding expectations.
