Teaching Assistant – SEN

A large Primary school based in the Blackpool area is seeking to recruit a highly resilient, empathetic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 2:1 basis with two pupils in reception one pupil with complex needs and autism who requires lots of sensory & the second pupil also in reception who has social emotinal & behavioual needs. This role presents new challenges on a daily basis and is ideally suited to SEN Teaching Assistants who have a real strength of character, are calm under pressure, have a nuturing way and have a firm but fair approach.
About you:
* Have strong behaviour management
* Able to build strong long lasting relationships with both pupil and staff
* It is essential that you are reliable, composed, calm, resilient and patient
* Strong interpersonal skills and highly empathetic
* Perfect for Graduates, Psychology or sports in particular and those with at least NVQ3 and previous experience in a similar role
The Role:
* Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team
* Working on a 1:1 basis with a year 2 pupil to support their individual needs
* Full-time, long-term, £26,000 per year
