Electrical Test Engineer

Salary: £22.8 per hour

£22.8 per hour (£38,532 basic)

39 hours per week

1:30pm finish on a Friday

We are currently working alongside an established multimillion pound award winning engineering company, who due to sustained growth are now looking to appoint an experienced Test Engineer.

THE ROLE

• Testing equipment before it goes to site.
• Testing control panels and PLC’s
• Navigate control panels, fault find and diagnose issues.
• Complete QA and test documentation
• Assist with the wiring of equipment
• Assisting with basic mechanical assembly tasks.
• Conduct all duties efficiently.
• Undertake any other tasks as could reasonably be always required of the Role and act in the best interests of the business

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY

• Experience working with inverters and PLC’s
• Experience working with control panels
• Qualified Electrician – 17th / 18th edition
• Be familiar with HMI systems, all equipment our client manufactures have an HMI screen which is used to set up and operate equipment.
• Have experience with similar equipment (pumps, single and three phase motors & process instrumentation) and in a similar workshop-based role or experience as a service or maintenance engineer
• Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to do some mechanical assembly during testing activities.
• The ability to read general arrangement drawings, electrical schematics, Process & Instrumentation Diagram, Functional Design Specification and Control Philosophy.

DESIRABLE

• Has knowledge of the engineering sector
• Has knowledge of water industry equipment and processes
