Financial Controller

If you are an experienced Financial Controller with passion and individualism, this is a new and exciting opportunity for you to join a highly successful, dynamic chain of privately owned restaurants with ambitious growth plans which stretch across the UK over the next five years and beyond.

This is a brand new role based in either Leeds or York that will be initially assisted and supported by the current external accountants as well as two experienced, dynamic and entrepreneurial MD’s who have years of combined industry experience.

The Financial Controller will be fundamentally contributing to the overall success of the organisation by effectively managing all financial tasks, providing financially sound advice, whilst overseeing all budgeting and accounting.

You will have responsibility for the financial analysis of the business and in particular, you will be looking closely at managing cash flow and forecasting monthly projections; providing reports and advice to the Directors to support the decision making process.

Managing one bookkeeper initially, it is envisioned that this role will naturally develop in line with company growth plans fairly rapidly so you must want progression, a challenge and to invest yourself into a long term career.

The successful person for this unique position will ideally be fully qualified although part qualified will be acceptable (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) and ideally have experience within the FMCG/Hospitality/Retail sector with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.

You should have lots of initiative, be deadline orientated, enjoy a bit of banter and have a good sense of humour!
