Financial Controller

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

Our client is a long standing distribution business and is part of a larger group

Overall responsibility of Financial Controller

Produce monthly management accounts and associated detailed analysis in line with Group reporting deadlines

Specific duties of Financial Controller

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations

 • Tracking and reporting on high volume customer and supplier claims including key supplier reconciliations

 • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register

 • Submission of the month end debt reconciliation to the bank

 • Completion and submission of the monthly VAT Return

 • Supporting the year end audit including production of lead schedules

• Liaison with external auditors for the annual statutory tax computations

• Preparation of the annual budget

• Monitor the Company’s financial controls and credit control.

• Provide meaningful financial and operational KPI information staff

• Provision of cash flow forecasts to Group.

 Management of working capital

 • Completion of ad-hoc analysis

The Candidate for Financial Controller

Minimum 4+ years PQE ideally within an FMCG / Retail / Wholesale environment.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

 An ambitious Finance Manager looking for his/her first Financial Controller role OR a Financial Controller looking to step up into a bigger business with greater responsibility would be highly encouraged in this role
