Salary: £26,000 per year

A well established client based in Warwickshire are currently recruiting production operatives to join their busy team to maintain their current high production levels.

The main responsibilities for the role would include:

– Assemble, test & despatch of spare parts to customers when require
– To ensure the level of quality is maintained through the production process of assembling pumps and products
– Build Sub-Assemblies for use in upstream processes, working as a supportive and active team member within the department
– Preparation of parts for paint-shop, fault identification & rectification using a variety of engineering and manufacturing skills
– Product testing to confirm performance & satisfy legal/company requirements
– Final assembly and finishing in preparation for shipment
– To work and assist in a variety of areas within manufacturing to support the business operations
– To assist in end of shift cleaning/housekeeping duties and ensuring continuous contribution towards lean practices and activities ensuring they are maintained
– Work towards and maintain all quality accreditations ensuring non-compliance or irregularities are reported to the line manager or quality team
– To support warehouse picks and stock allocation when required
– To support the integration of new part introduction whilst ensuring best practice and knowledge is shared
– To assist in the review and update (where necessary) of all work instructions and procedures
– Carry out all planned preventative maintenance procedures
– Assist in companywide stock-takes making yourself readily available
– To ensure that all relevant quality records are completed, with sign off where required
– To undertake training and to assist in training and mentoring others or new members of staff as required
– To actively and positively contribute to the appraisal process and to follow up agreed actions
– To work at all times in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work regulations and to follow all company procedures and guidelines which assist this by reporting any hazards to a senior team leader or manager and ensure it is entered into the Hazard/ incident book To work at all times in accordance with the company’s Dignity & Diversity Policy
– To undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job
– When required work within a cross function team supporting NPI, Lean activities and operational activities.

It is essential that you have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, also experience working in a mechanical assembly or engineering environment.
