Application Services Deployment Manager with ITIL V3 Foundation background (experience in working in large IT shops) is required to manage the Services Deployment of our Mobile Telecoms client’s Global Technology Operations. The role has a strong focus on the technical coordination of the setup and implementation of all needed systems and applications from test to production over the different project phases. The Global Application Services range from Mobile Consumer oriented services, Mobiles Payment- and Mobile data services to services for multi-national corporations or SMEs to Intranet services for the organisations workforce and globally used enablers. Technology requirements towards the role can vary depending on the service area.

Candidate wishing to apply must be technically proficient in the following;
• Able to read & understand technical service design documents, build based on that request documents to infrastructure/Ops teams
• Managing multinational teams acting as a cross-function between all support layers
• Creating project plans and reporting back to service PM
• Multi-Layer architecture
• Security concepts
• High availability of all layers (standby solutions, HA, DR)
• Network (very strong knowledge of TCP/IP 4/6 including all network layers)
• Mobile technology (MMSC, SMSC, Web/WAP, Email, Streaming (& Download))
• Firewall and Load balancing
• Service enablement / rollout to local branches (Vodafone Operative Companies)
• Hardware Virtualisation (based on VMware technology)
• Good background on web based server technologies (Applications servers (e.g. Oracle Weblogic) and web servers (e.g. Apache)
• Database: good knowhow (Oracle (incl. RAC setups), MSSQL server)
• Operating system: Linux, Solaris, Windows (preferable with hands on practice)
• Knowledge of mobile telecommunications and their data services
