Research Officer

An inner London Borough has a requirement for a Research Officer to join the Corporate Research Team on a temporary contract, initially for 3-months but with the possibility of being extended.

The Team provides high quality research and analysis for Council services and their work includes in-house studies, research supporting the completion of various needs assessments (JSNA and SHMA), surveys, maintenance of the local population modelling tool, school roll projections, research commissioning and providing on-going analysis about the impacts of Welfare Reform.

Ideally you should have a background in social policy, strong analytical skills and an eye for communicating and presenting data. You should ideally have experience of survey design and methodology and knowledge of economic and labour market data would also be an advantage. You must have strong data analytical skills and extensive experience using Excel and SPSS.
