Senior PHP Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join a leading Digital Brand Communications Agency based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting role to join an expanding but already established development team. Working on exciting projects, for well known household brands.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about developing bespoke PHP websites, and be able to support staff from varying levels. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in client liaison throughout projects via a range of mediums including email, conference calls and face-to-face meetings; so strong written and verbal communications skills are crucial.

The Senior Developer will assist the Digital Director in the planning and creation of technical specifications for client projects.

With a team of innovative developers who are dedicated to creating websites using a full spectrum of development skills, the candidate must have a ‘can do’ attitude and is expected to go above and beyond to deliver outstanding solutions for both clients and the team.

This role will allow the candidates the opportunity to define their own progress through the use of your own skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following technical skills:

– PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and knowledge of bespoke MVC Frameworks and Linux / Apache Environment.

– Mobile, App Development and experience in working with responsive designs would be nice to have but not essential.
