Following a period of internal promotion and growth we are now looking to add four Senior Clinical Board Accountants to our team.
These roles support the Finance Business Partner in providing professional financial advice, support and information for the activities of the Clinical Board to enable it to effectively and proactively set and manage their budgets and finances to ensure the achievement of financial targets and plans.
The post holder will report to the Finance Business Partner and will be expected to work closely with Clinical Board budget holders to provide support in the delivery of the finance agenda. The post holder may be asked to deputise, as appropriate.
You will provide support into the financial and business planning processes within the Clinical Board to ensure that the financial implications of service developments are fully identified and understood. You will support the UHB on commissioning and cross boundary flows as relevant to the Clinical Board services.
The post holder will contribute to efficiency and productivity improvement programmes within the Clinical Board. This will include supporting the implementation of Patient Level Costing within the Clinical Board to minimise clinical variations in order to maximise efficient and effective services and financial performance.
You will support the Finance Business Partner team in ensuring that the Clinical Board’s financial activities and systems are in line with corporate policies and procedures and meet the highest standards of stewardship and probity and comply with corporate governance requirements.
Candidates will be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant finance experience within the NHS, Public or private sector. You will posses strong analytical, interpretational and comparative skills and knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, financial aspects of NHS legislation and NHS finance policies, along with experience of NHS financial management and business and strategic planning. You will have the ability to deal with complicated situations as well as the experience of managing people and teams effectively.
You will be highly committed and self motivated, with high professional standards and the ability to influence key stakeholders, work under pressure, and plan and prioritize workload for you and your individual teams. You will work on multiple complex tasks simultaneously and produce high quality work within tight deadlines and resource constraints.
