Salary: £26,000 – £26,400 per year
A great opportunity has arisen for a Communications Assistant based in a medical centre in Dudley town centre.
The aim of the Communications and Web Assistant is to support in promoting and enhancing the reputation of the Trust.
The post holder must have excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, but also have the availability to work on their own initiative. A flexible approach and the ability to prioritise is a must for this post.
Key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Ensure consistency and accuracy of web content and arrange updates as
necessary.
When required support internal communications activities.
Ensure the timely distribution of key messages across the Trust.
Proof-read documents and web pages for publication.
Handle media enquires and source responses in order to meet deadlines.
Order stock and supplies for the department to aid with projects such as
events and internal communication channels.
Support the process of producing documents to be published in the public
arena – this includes arranging design and print.
To develop and maintain of the Trust Internet and Intranet sites by
writing copy and updating editorial content.
Ensure the Internet and Intranet conforms to guidelines and accessibility
standards.
Provide general administration support to the Communications and
Engagement Team.
Ensure comprehensive administration systems are maintained to facilitate
smooth running and high quality administrative practises.
Actively promote the reputation, vision and values of the Trust amongst
colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
To assist the Communications and Engagement Officer in organising events
and conferences as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve organisational
objectives.
Act as a source of knowledge and advise on issues relating to
Communications and Engagement.
The post holder will be expected to assist in the administration of requests
under the Freedom of Information Act by investigating the relevant information
and drafting responses within the legal time limit.
Ensuring that the Trust is compliant with the local Freedom of Information
Policy
Developing and maintaining relevant Freedom of Information databases and
records
Assist with the updating of notice boards across the Trust, ensuring they hold
timely, interesting and appropriate information.
Checking general communication e-mail accounts, ensuring that all enquiries are handled appropriately by responding or working with Teams as necessary to co-ordinate responses.
Undertake any other responsibilities in accordance with the grade and nature
of the post.
