Job Profile

Being the successful Production Section Leader you will experience working in a well-structured and friendly environment with a company that has a minimal turnover of staff.

You will have overall responsibility for the shift team of 12 – 15. You will manage the team on a day to day basis from motivation and development through to ensuring machine weekly target are met. This team will include machine operators and setters, assemblers and material handlers.

Duties

* Monitor MRP plans and recommend any changes to works order plans to satisfy master schedules where applicable

* Ensure that the correct plans are issued to the work station, in-line with the relevant bill of materials and machine capability

* Organise departmental quality circles to answer customers and internal complaints in response to published reject analysis data

* Maximise machine and labour capacity to achieve maximum output and turnover, while keeping reject and scrap rates to a minimum

* Responsible for training the operators within the department

* Maintain the preventive maintenance procedures to achieve maximum machine availability

* Monitor stock levels of all consumables and materials used within the department

* Maintain relevant departmental data on the company customer system which is SAP

* Liaise with other departmental supervision to effect good work flow and shift changeovers

* Comply fully with all current health & safety regulations in operation within the company whilst carrying out your duties

Skills & Experience

* Experience of motivating and developing teams

* Excellent problem solving skills

* Desire to learn and develop further skills

* Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
