Head of Commercial Materials Supply

Our client is a leading company in the research of botanical prescription medicines. The client is looking to appoint a full-time Head of Commercial Materials Supply to join their Research and Development team in the South East. The successful candidate will support the companies supply chain delivering cool-chain, controlled drug products to global destinations.

The head of Commercial Materials supply will be responsible for key aspects of the commercial supply chain including partner/customer liaison, demand planning, purchasing and inventory management, packing and artwork co-ordination, warehousing, distribution including cool-chain, Home Office, International Narcotics Control Board requirements and export controls.
The successful job-holder will work with both internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, partners, depots, distributors and international Regulatory and Legislative Authorities. A proven background in Pharmaceuticals and management coupled with excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills (oral and written) will be required.
Experience/Qualifications
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the position is suitable for an experienced Pharmaceutical professional with excellent organisation, project management, continuous Improvement, problem solving and inter-personnel skills.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of GMP/GDP and experience working to MHRA requirements. Additional experience of H&S, LEAN, operational KPI’s and experience of employee supervision within a pharmaceutical setting is required.
